Senior PMO / Programme Manager
Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite) Contract: Initial contract 6 months - Potential for extension Rate: £400 - £600 per day (DOE)
The Opportunity
We're recruiting for an experienced Senior PMO / Programme Manager to join a major enterprise-wide transformation programme within a global organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a high-profile transformation, supporting senior leadership by driving programme governance, planning, reporting, and delivery oversight across multiple workstreams. The successful candidate will act as the central point of coordination for the programme, ensuring risks, dependencies, actions, and milestones are proactively managed while providing clear visibility of progress to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the integrated programme plan
- Coordinate multiple workstreams and ensure alignment across programme activities
- Manage RAID logs, dependencies, and critical path activities
- Drive programme governance processes and reporting cycles
- Prepare steering committee and leadership meeting packs
- Produce programme dashboards, status reports, and performance metrics
- Identify, escalate, and help resolve programme risks and issues
- Monitor delivery against key milestones and programme objectives
- Support senior stakeholders with decision making and planning activities
- Drive consistency and continuous improvement across programme management practices
Skills & Experience Required
- Significant experience in a Senior PMO, Programme Manager, or Programme Delivery role
- Experience supporting large-scale business transformation programmes, ideally within Legal, Finance, HR, Shared Services, or other corporate functions
- Strong programme governance, planning, and reporting expertise
- Proven experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, and programme controls
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership teams
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience producing executive-level reports and presentations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within complex environments
Desirable
- Experience Operating model or organisational transformation experience
- Benefits realisation and change management exposure
- MSP, PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project/programme management qualifications
