Responsibilities and assignments

What will your responsibilities and challenges be?

• Perform quotations and strategic negotiations for heavy fleet parts (trucks, trailers, tractor units, and utility vehicles), tools, workshop materials, and mechanical services.
• Conduct negotiations focused on the best cost-benefit, aiming for cost reduction targets without compromising quality and maintenance deadlines.
• Issue, monitor, and organize purchase orders, quotations, and contracts, ensuring traceability, recording, and standardization of information.
• Prospect, evaluate, and approve new strategic suppliers in critical categories of heavy parts and workshops.
• Act in direct partnership with the Maintenance/Workshop area for reading technical catalogs and aligning specifications for parts and mechanical components for heavy vehicles.
• Control and update area indicators (service SLA, Lead Time, Saving) in a dashboard/tracking spreadsheets.
• Perform demand planning alongside the parts stock to reduce emergency purchases.
• Ensure 100% compliance with the procurement policy, acting with ethics, transparency, and compliance.

Requirements and qualifications

What do you need to have/know/demonstrate?

• Completed higher education in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or related fields.
• Technical course in Maintenance, Mechanics, or Logistics will be considered a differentiator.
• Solid experience in the procurement area focused exclusively on heavy fleet maintenance (trucks, trailers, etc.), parts, and specialized mechanical services — Mandatory.
• Technical knowledge in reading and interpreting technical catalogs for heavy fleet parts and notions of inventory control (reorder point, lead time).
• Intermediate/advanced Office Package (Excel is mandatory for creating quotation spreadsheets, comparisons, and KPI tracking).
• Intermediate English and Spanish.
• Mastery of commercial negotiation techniques, cost-benefit analysis, and supplier evaluation within the heavy parts and large vehicle maintenance sector.
• Proactive profile, with a high sense of urgency, resilience for dynamic workshop routines, and excellent interpersonal relationships with operational areas.
