Your tasks

Responsible for the general maintenance of the gardens, plants, and lawns at the resort. Also maintain the beautification of the lawns and gardens in order to attract guests to the hotel's lush and green surroundings.

Specific duties The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Maintenance cleaner duties and responsibilities Prerequisites: Soil cultivation, digging, and forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation, and planting. The use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery. The use of cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers. Adjustments of mower height and quality of cut, etc. Oil level checks and checks for damage to any mower. Report equipment malfunctions to engineering as and when noticed.

Be aware of health and safety requirements noting that all duties must be carried out to comply with current health and safety at work legislation. Ensure all equipment and machinery are stored securely and cleaned after use.

Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns. Maintain gardens by naturally fertilizing, trimming, and making sure that plants are receiving adequate irrigation water. Prune trees and hedges in ways that help the plants' health, are safe, and look good. Maintain lawn and grass areas using machinery and natural fertilizers but no chemicals.

Keep the gardens, thoroughfares, and pathways clear and free from litter at all times. Make sure irrigation systems are in good condition. Prune and cut hedges. Perform outside maintenance including pathways, pond, steps, walls, etc. Tidying up and cleaning outside of the main building, spa, and car parks. Keep the tool shed and storeroom clean and tidy.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related work experience, including 3 years hotel engineering work experience.

Have good knowledge of plants, be organized, and able to follow schedules. Ensure the following areas around villas, spa building, main building, boardroom building, and pathways are clean and tidy at all times. Ensure the maintenance building area is clean and tidy at all times.
