Purchase Ledger Administrator

Marks Sattin are currently working with an established and successful business to recruit a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual looking to take ownership of the purchase ledger function within a busy and supportive finance environment.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial processes, whilst gaining exposure to wider finance and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger process.
• Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Preparing supplier payment runs and ensuring timely payments.
• Managing supplier queries and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Reconciling costs against estimates and investigating variances.
• Supporting supplier contract renewals and purchasing activities.
• Assisting the wider finance team with month-end processes and ad hoc duties.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable or similar finance role would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience using Sage or a similar accounting system would be beneficial.
• A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
