We are actively seeking a Payroll & Pensions Officer (Part Time) for a highly reputable company in Flixton, Greater Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a very successful business on a permanent basis. The hours of work are 29 hours per week (across 4 or 5 days), school term time only, plus 2 weeks.

The main duties include:

Ensure all colleagues are paid accurately in line with contractual timeframes
Process payroll changes (leavers, contract changes, expenses) and monthly payroll checks as required
Raise payroll errors and inaccuracies with the payroll provider via the appropriate routes.
Ensure appropriate statutory deductions are made by sending relevant information to the payroll provider
Check shared parental leave and maternity leave schedules are accurate
Work with the wider People Team and Finance Team to continuously improve
Update any employer pension contribution rates with the payroll provider
Liaise with HMRC on taxation issues
Attend monthly contract management meetings with payroll provider

Our client is looking for a candidate who has:

Payroll and pensions experience
Experience of tax codes, deductions, SMP and SSP
Payroll systems experience
A continuous improvement mindset
