Logistics and Supply Director

Important company with operations in Cali, linked to a high-complexity industrial operation, is looking for a Logistics and Supply Director, whose main challenge will be to comprehensively lead the strategies for supply, purchasing, imports, transport, distribution, and logistics operation, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of the supply chain.

The position will have a strategic role in the optimization of costs, productivity, and service levels, as well as in the management of national and international suppliers and logistics operators, guaranteeing compliance with the quality, safety, and timeliness standards required by the business.

Main responsibilities

• Lead the comprehensive supply chain strategy, ensuring its alignment with production needs and business objectives.
• Direct national and international purchasing processes and imports of raw materials, guaranteeing quality, timeliness, and cost competitiveness.
• Select, develop, and negotiate with national and international suppliers, in accordance with the technical specifications and requirements established by the organization.
• Design and evaluate logistical alternatives oriented toward the optimization of costs, times, and service levels.
• Lead the definition and optimization of land and maritime transport strategies.
• Direct the logistics operation associated with maritime terminals and other critical points in the chain, seeking efficiency and operational continuity.
• Guarantee the adequate coordination of storage, dispatch, distribution, and transport processes.
• Ensure the continuity of the supply of raw materials and other inputs required for the productive operation.
• Guarantee that purchasing, negotiation, transport, and dispatch processes comply with the procedures and quality and safety standards established by the company.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage indicators of productivity, costs, efficiency, and operational results.

Required profile

• Professional in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related careers.
• Desirable specialization or postgraduate training in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Supply, or related areas.
• Approximately 15 - 20 years of professional experience, with a significant track record in industrial operations and supply chain.
• Experience leading Supply Chain, Logistics, Supply, Purchasing, and Import areas in companies of relevant size and complexity.
• Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and responsibility over budgets, productivity, costs, and results.
• Experience in national and international logistics operations.
• Desirable track record in industries such as chemical, petrochemical, food, beverages, mass consumption, manufacturing, energy, or other sectors with high-complexity industrial operations.
• Experience in negotiation and management of national and international suppliers.
• Advanced English.
