To strengthen our SRE team, we are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) who wants to actively help shape the further development of GameFabric. GameFabric is a leader in innovation as an orchestration platform for gaming servers, while SteelShield offers advanced DDoS protection specifically for gaming traffic.

Your tasks
You will monitor the operation of several GameFabric environments, which include more than 50 Kubernetes clusters as well as a central observability stack. You will work closely with our developers to develop scalable solutions from conception to deployment. You will automate infrastructure and operations using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), GitOps practices (FluxCD), and our proprietary Kubernetes operators. You will improve and optimize our core tech stack across cloud and bare-metal environments. Together with the rest of the team, you will take on on-call duties to ensure smooth platform operation (once you are fully onboarded and feel confident).

Requirements
You possess a university degree in the IT field or an IT vocational training, or relevant professional experience. You possess solid Linux knowledge and have solid fundamentals that are essential for effective troubleshooting and resolution. You have experience in implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or tools in the same field). You have solid basic knowledge of containerization principles and a good understanding of container management concepts. You have a passion for automation and are always looking for ways to make processes smoother and reduce repetitive tasks. You should have practical experience with scripting and programming languages such as Go, Python, or others. You are a cooperative team player who is not afraid to assert your views, but is also open to compromise when necessary. You have fluent English skills.
