Job Description:

The Head of English will lead the English and Literature department across all grade levels, ensuring effective curriculum implementation aligned with Common Core standards. This role involves overseeing teaching quality, supporting professional development, coordinating assessments, and promoting a love for language arts among students.

Skills and Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in English, Education or related field (minimum requirement)

At least 5 years of relevant teaching experience with proven leadership capabilities

Strong knowledge of Common Core curriculum standards for English Language Arts

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Ability to inspire both staff and students while fostering a collaborative team environment

Experience in curriculum planning, assessment design, and data-driven instruction
