The Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of a growing and successful manufacturer looking for a hands-on Logistics & Warehouse Operative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and thrives as part of a collaborative team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of stock, materials, and finished goods through the warehouse operation while helping support on-time deliveries to customers.
Your tasks
- Receiving, checking, and booking in goods
- Preparing, packing, and dispatching customer orders
- Managing stock rotation and maintaining accurate stock levels
- Supporting warehouse and freezer operations in line with company procedures
- Completing goods-in and goods-out documentation accurately
- Organising inward and outward collections and deliveries
- Bulk packing products as required
- Assisting with deliveries and driving duties when needed
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment
Health & Safety
- Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
- Reporting any hazards, incidents, or safety concerns promptly
- Contributing to a safe working environment for colleagues and visitors
General Duties
- Working closely with colleagues across different departments
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining excellent communication with team members and customers
- Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to assist in other areas when required
- Undertaking additional duties appropriate to the role and training provided
Requirements
We're looking for someone who
- Has previous warehouse, logistics, or stores experience
- Is organised, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Can work effectively both independently and within a team
- Has a positive, proactive attitude
- Is physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Holds a valid driving licence (advantageous)
- Forklift licence would be beneficial but is not essential
