Paint Mixing Operator
About the Role
As a Paint Mixing Production Operator (Coating) , you will be responsible for color matching, formulation adjustment, and quality testing of coatings products to ensure compliance with customer and quality standards. You will also support production, color management activities, and the upkeep of global color standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform color matching and quality checks for paint and coating products.
- Mix, blend, and adjust paint formulations according to approved recipes.
- Use color measurement equipment to check color accuracy and make necessary corrections.
- Carry out paint/coating production batches based on approved formulas.
- Conduct basic quality tests on products, solvents, and related materials.
- Maintain color standards and ensure products meet customer quality requirements.
- Perform basic maintenance and calibration checks on laboratory equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping and follow workplace safety (EHS) procedures.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and adherence to policies with respect to EHS.
- Understand of processes and procedures involved in color development and color matching
- Good understanding and ability to interpret product formulae.
- Accuracy in blending product formulae.
- Adherence to maintenance schedules for coatings laboratory equipment.
- Liaison with Production Supervisor with respect to production schedules.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivation and self-starting
- Working knowledge of color spectrophotometer.
- Able to read measuring equipment.
