Logistics Procurement Executive (Freight Management)

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical logistics professional to support global freight procurement and transportation management across ocean, air, and land logistics.

This role is responsible for managing freight sourcing activities, conducting market and cost analysis, monitoring logistics performance, and supporting strategic procurement initiatives. Working closely with internal stakeholders, carriers, and logistics service providers, you will leverage data, reporting tools, and market insights to drive informed decision-making, optimize freight spend, and enhance supply chain efficiency. Experience in freight forwarding, shipping, transportation procurement, or logistics analytics will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Freight Procurement & Sourcing

• Manage freight procurement activities across ocean (FCL/LCL), air, and land transportation while supporting strategic sourcing initiatives.

Tender & Contract Management

• Support RFQs, tender exercises, rate evaluations, contract reviews, and coordination with logistics service providers and carriers.

Logistics Performance Reporting

• Prepare and analyze freight volumes, costs, KPIs, and operational performance reports for business stakeholders and management.

Freight Analytics & Business Intelligence

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, Excel models, and reporting tools to drive data-driven procurement decisions.

Market Intelligence & Freight Research

• Monitor freight market trends, shipping indices, rate movements, fuel surcharges, and industry developments to support commercial decision-making.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, forwarders, and logistics partners to resolve issues and ensure seamless freight operations.

Process Improvement & Digitalization

• Support automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, procurement visibility, and workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, international shipping, logistics procurement, or transportation management.
• Strong knowledge of ocean, air, and land freight operations.
• Strong analytical capabilities with advanced Excel proficiency and experience leveraging Power BI, dashboards, and data visualization tools to analyze freight costs, KPIs, operational performance, and market trends for data-driven decision-making.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across internal teams and logistics service providers.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
