Our client, a leading international company in the tobacco industry, is currently seeking a

Firmware / Electronics Scientist

Open\-ended contract through Manpower

Location : Neuchâtel / HO

Position Purpose:

Drive PMI's innovation agenda by scouting, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies, up to Proof of Feasibility/ Proof of Concept. Lead scientific research, deliver emerging technologies foresights that accelerate and support PMI's smoke\-free transformation.

Key Accountabilities:

\- Identify and assess innovative technologies and solutions, aligned with PMI's future technology priorities.

\- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new solutions.

\- Manage open innovation challenges and collaborative projects.

\- Lead research and foresight programs with external partners.

\- Prepare technical briefs and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.

\- Promote adoption of open innovation frameworks and best practices across teams.

Core Competencies:

\- Strong technical background.

\- Analytical and problem\-solving capability.

\- Effective communication verbal and written.

\- Ability to thrive in uncertainty and a fast\-paced driven environment.

Education:

\- Master's or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Computational Science, or related fields.

Experience:

Must have:

\- 4\-8 years in R\&D or technology related roles

Nice to have:

\- Innovation management, or technology scouting roles

\- Proven track record in delivering innovation projects, incl. with external collaborations

\- Experience in regulated industries or consumer goods
