Job Description

An important company in the Oil & Gas sector is looking for Senior Drilling Engineers, who will be responsible for supporting the Product Service Delivery (PSD) team in the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of products and services to our customers.

The professional will develop optimized technical designs for drilling operations, provide technical support during project execution, manage operational risks, and promote continuous improvement initiatives that contribute to operational excellence and the achievement of business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical drilling designs for the Product Line.
  • Identify and implement innovative and cost-effective techniques to optimize operations.
  • Evaluate opportunities for the incorporation of value-added products and services.
  • Provide technical support during all stages of service execution.
  • Communicate the technical value of the technologies, interpretations, and solutions implemented.
  • Coordinate with technical specialists to optimize engineering designs.
  • Support operational execution through design adjustments derived from changes in scope, resources, quality, or operational conditions.
  • Participate in incident management, investigation, and recovery.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary and multiple product line operations.
  • Support the commercial team in evaluating the technical feasibility of proposals and tenders.
  • Analyze operational results by comparing execution versus design, documenting lessons learned and improvement opportunities.
  • Support resource consumption management (COSD).

Requirements

Academic Background

  • Professional in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling operations and engineering.
  • Experience in design, planning, and execution of drilling operations.
  • Desirable experience as a Directional Driller or in Drilling Engineering roles in Colombia.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid knowledge in drilling operations and well optimization.
  • Operational risk management.
  • Technical analysis and problem-solving.
  • Collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Preparation of technical designs and post-operational analysis.

Languages

  • Advanced English (indispensable).
