About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and guest-focused Casual Recreation Attendant to join our Recreation team.

You will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our recreation facilities and activities, ensuring our guests have a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist guests with recreational activities, facilities and equipment.
• Conduct and support recreation activities, games and programmes for guests.
• Provide clear instructions and safety guidelines to guests before activities.
• Monitor recreation areas and ensure facilities are safe, clean and well maintained.
• Set up and prepare equipment and activity areas before programmes commence.
• Ensure all recreation equipment is properly stored, maintained and accounted for.
• Assist with guest enquiries and provide information on available activities and facilities.
• Monitor guest participation and ensure activities are conducted safely and smoothly.
• Support family, children and group activities where required.
• Assist during special events, programmes and resort activities.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation within recreation areas.
• Report any equipment defects, safety concerns or incidents to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in recreation, hospitality, sports, leisure or guest services is an advantage.
• Friendly, energetic and comfortable interacting with guests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude with a genuine interest in creating memorable guest experiences.
• Comfortable conducting or assisting with activities and games.
• Responsible and safety-conscious.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable being active for extended periods.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
