Your tasks

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a project being implemented for a client from the banking sector. The person in this position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of test automation for Master Data Management (MDM) solutions, with a particular focus on API testing (REST/SOAP), databases, system integrations, and data distribution processes.

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests for APIs, integrations, and data flows.
  • Developing scalable and easy-to-maintain test frameworks.
  • Creating regression tests and integrating them with CI/CD processes.
  • Supporting the Automation First approach.
  • Analyzing test results, reporting, and preparing test documentation.
  • Collaborating with developers, analysts, Product Owners, and other teams.
  • Utilizing AI and GitHub Copilot to improve the testing process.
  • Providing substantive support and mentoring less experienced team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in software test automation.
  • Very good knowledge of Java 17+ and object-oriented programming principles, Clean Code, and POJO patterns.
  • Practical knowledge of RESTAssured, JUnit 5, and Lombok.
  • Experience in testing REST API and SOAP/WSDL services.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and test databases.
  • Experience in testing integrations, asynchronous processes, and event-driven architecture, including Kafka.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools: Jenkins and/or Bamboo.
  • Good knowledge of Git, Jira, and qTest.
  • Experience in reporting test results using Allure.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, regression testing, and defect management.
  • Very good command of the English language.
  • Ability to collaborate in Agile teams and communicate with stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Experience in UI testing using Selenium or Playwright.
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing test automation standards.
