DevOps Engineer

About the project For our Client from the banking sector, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support the development, automation, and maintenance of application environments. The person in this position will be responsible for deploying and running applications in production environments, developing CI/CD processes, and automating infrastructure.

The project also includes supporting the migration of applications to a local Kubernetes platform (on-premise), and in the longer term – transitioning to cloud infrastructure.

Your tasks

• Deploying applications and ensuring their correct operation in production environments.
• Configuring, maintaining, and developing development, test, and production environments.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that automate software build, release, and deployment processes.
• Automating operational tasks and processes related to application deployment and maintenance.
• Automating configuration and infrastructure management using Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Creating and maintaining Python and Shell scripts to improve daily operational work.
• Monitoring environment stability and reporting incidents, production issues, and improvement opportunities to the team.
• Diagnosing and resolving application and infrastructure issues across various environments.
• Collaborating with development and operations teams to improve application performance, availability, and scalability.
• Managing source code, configuration, and automation scripts using Git.
• Analyzing root causes of incidents and implementing preventive actions.
• Supporting the process of moving applications to a Kubernetes platform in an on-premise environment, and subsequently to cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

Technologies Linux | Docker | Kubernetes | Ansible | Python | Shell | Git | CI/CD

Additionally: Jira, Confluence, PostgreSQL, Snowflake.

Our requirements

• Practical knowledge of Linux systems.
• Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Ansible and configuration/infrastructure management automation.
• Scripting skills in Python and Shell.
• Good knowledge of the Git version control system.
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in automating application build, deployment, and maintenance processes.
• Ability to diagnose problems and analyze production incidents.
• Proficiency in English, enabling fluent communication within the project environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of tools from the Atlassian ecosystem, particularly Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working with databases, e.g., PostgreSQL or Snowflake.
• Participation in the deployment and migration of applications to a Kubernetes platform in an on-premise environment.
• Experience in migrating solutions to cloud infrastructure.
