About MAJORITY
MAJORITY is an innovative all-in-one financial services mobile application that includes an FDIC-insured account, a Visa® Prepaid card, international transfers, and calls. For migrants, by migrants.
Global migration is a 21st-century reality. Whether people are pursuing their dreams, love, or new experiences, more and more of us are seeking new environments. Our purpose at MAJORITY is to empower incredible, brave, and talented people, and help them achieve all their ambitions.
We believe everyone deserves the same opportunity to thrive. Our mission is to provide migrants with the tools to get ahead in their new country.
We are a diverse group of people from more than 40 different countries collaborating daily, and we are looking for others driven by the same desire to create meaningful products that bridge cultural and geographical distances.
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Designer to join our team and build key global products used daily by our users: money transfers, card payments, and moments that build trust in a financial product. You will work in collaboration with product managers, engineers, and creatives, taking features from initial problem definition to a polished, market-ready user interface.
This role will focus primarily on our global products, such as the crypto wallet and card experiences in Colombia and Mexico.
It is ideal for design professionals with innate curiosity, who feel comfortable taking ownership of a feature from end to end, are drawn to problem-solving, and enjoy collaborating with data, compliance, and engineering teams. You must feel comfortable operating within the inherent constraints of creating financial products and making agile decisions with available information to get to market quickly and iterate, rather than waiting for perfect clarity before launch.
Responsibilities
Lead the design of features from problem definition to launch, collaborating closely with a product manager and an engineering team.
Translate research, product requirements, and data (e.g., funnel drop-off analysis) into clear flows and high-fidelity user interfaces.
Design within and contribute to the MAJORITY design system, creating scalable, well-organized components that are easy to expand by other designers and engineers.
Consider edge cases and less common states (errors, empty states, loading, failure paths) as a central part of the design, not as an afterthought.
Collaborate with compliance, risk, and operations stakeholders to design experiences that meet regulatory and KYC requirements without compromising usability.
Create prototypes and test design approaches, iterating based on feedback and product data, using AI tools like Claude as part of your prototyping workflow.
Work closely with engineers during implementation, providing detailed and well-organized handoff documentation so that specifications, states, and edge cases are clear.
Present work clearly to cross-functional stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and clearly articulate the reasoning behind your design decisions.
Experience and Qualifications
More than 5 years of experience in product design, ideally in consumer or mobile products, with an exceptional portfolio demonstrating product thinking and attention to visual detail.
Deep and practical mastery of Figma (variables, components, auto-layout, and disciplined, organized layer nomenclature) with a track record of creating scalable and reusable component systems.
Great visual dexterity: meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of perfect finish in the implemented user interface.
Ease of using Claude (or similar AI tools) to prototype designs, as well as experience designing prompts (prompt engineering) to support or automate parts of your design workflow.
A genuine openness to incorporating AI into the design process, using it to streamline exploration, prototyping, and repetitive tasks.
A portfolio that shows full end-to-end authorship: how you frame problems, explore approaches, and arrive at launched solutions, not just polished final screens.
Fluency in using data to guide design decisions: reading funnel drop-off, usage segmentation, or research findings to convert them into design direction.
Excellent communication skills to explain and defend design fundamentals to engineers, product managers, and other collaborators, as well as to receive feedback and turn it into better design decisions.
Empathy for the communities MAJORITY serves and a genuine interest in designing for people building their financial lives.
Comfort working in English-speaking environments.
Desirable
Experience designing financial products or products in complex, regulated global environments.
Experience with financial products for immigrants, unbanked sectors, or emerging markets.
Familiarity with card payment flows, deposits, or money movement.
Experience contributing to or evolving a design system.
Experience with Lokalize or other equivalent tools.
