The industrialization of Data platforms on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT pipelines, Power BI) constitutes a strategic project for data-driven organizations. This position, with 3 days per week in Lyon, is intended for an experienced Microsoft Data Engineer, autonomous on large-scale projects that can represent several hundred days.
💡 YOUR MISSIONS
As a Consultant Microsoft Data Engineer (M/F), you will play a central role in the design, structuring, and production deployment of our clients' data platforms. Expect travel 3 days/week to Lyon.
- Participate in the definition and implementation of clients' Data & Cloud strategy
- Analyze business needs, define requirements for data quality, volume, and performance
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines (batch & real-time)
- Build and optimize Data Lake, Data Warehouse, or Lakehouse environments according to architectural recommendations
- Industrialize ETL/ELT workflows following DevOps/DataOps best practices
- Implement reliable and high-performance data models
- Collaborate with BI teams to feed reporting tools (Power BI, etc.)
- Guarantee the quality, consistency, and security of data throughout the entire chain
- Participate in workshops with business and IT teams
- Contribute to technical scoping, pre-sales, and client demonstrations
- Write technical documentation (HLD, LLD, operational files)
- Maintain a watch on the Azure Data ecosystem, data processing frameworks, and DataOps tools
With a Master's degree (BAC+5), you have significant experience of at least 3 years in cloud IT infrastructure, particularly on the Azure platform. A good communicator with excellent writing skills, you are able to adapt to both teamwork and our clients' projects. Good command of English is mandatory (reading, writing, speaking).
- Good knowledge of the Azure platform as a whole and the associated DATA Services ecosystem in Azure (DataFactory, Azure Fabric, Synapse, etc.)
- Databases (SQL, MYSQL)
- Knowledge of data storage and processing issues in Azure (Storage Account, Datalake store, Data Factory, Logic App)
- Data "security" in Azure
- Knowledge of data management related to IOT and AI in Azure is a plus
