Vancouver Island trucking company looking for a versatile driver; who is professional, friendly, punctual, and reliable. We are looking for someone with availability for full-time hours. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible as we offer a variety of trucking services.

*Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Required :*

• Valid Class 1 driver?s license with a clean commercial driver?s abstract
• Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull, and carry heavy items (up to 90 lbs)
• Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit
• Professional driving experience
• Perform basic automotive maintenance and checks as needed to ensure vehicle reliability
• Experience operating heavy equipment, such as front-end loaders, is an asset

*Responsibilities Include :*

• Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships
• Operating straight trucks or trucks with trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban, and rural routes
• Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, count sheets, and incident reporting
• Performing product delivery verification with accompanying paperwork
• Following health and safety, and safe work procedures
