Electrical Engineer

Prepare and review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, layouts, specifications, and technical calculations.

Calculate electrical loads and select appropriate cables, switchgear, distribution boards, lighting, and earthing systems.

Prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates, and material requisitions.

Review supplier quotations, equipment specifications, and technical submissions.

Supervise installation work and verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable regulations.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other engineering teams.

Monitor site progress, resolve technical issues, and report project status.

Conduct or witness electrical inspections, testing, and commissioning.

Troubleshoot electrical faults and recommend corrective and preventive measures.

Prepare as-built drawings, test reports, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover documents.

Support workplace safety and quality-control procedures.

Requirements Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in electrical design, installation, project execution, or maintenance.

Sound knowledge of power distribution, electrical protection, lighting, and earthing systems.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; familiarity with electrical calculation software is an advantage.

Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and workplace safety requirements.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Willingness to attend site inspections and coordinate work on site.
