Tooling & Mechanical Draftsman

Your tasks

Responsibilities/ Duties

• Prepare, develop and modify Tooling and Mechanical drawing using AutoCad.
• Prepare detailed component, tooling assembly drawings and sectional views with accurate dimensions and tolerances.
• Assist in design, development and modification of Press tools, dies, punches and forming tools.
• Work closely with Toolroom technicians, machinists and production teams to resolve tooling and dimensional issues.
• Support CNC and other conventional machining through accurate technical drawings.
• Maintain and update the electronic engineering drawing database, including drawing revisions and document control.

Requirements

Experience/ Requirements

• Diploma or NTC-2 Certificate in Tool & Die Engineering, Mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline with proficient in AutoCAD.
• 2 - 4 years of relevant working experience in mechanical drafting, tool design or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Tool & Die, metal stamping and machining processes.
• Understanding of dimensional tolerances, fits, clearances and manufacturing requirements.
• Able to work independently, pay attention to detail and collaborate effectively with the Toolroom and Production teams.
• Experience in metal stamping, sheet-metal forming and metal packaging manufacturing will be an added advantage.
