On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a commercial manger based in Edinburgh, Stirling, Reading or London. 6 month contract, with a flexible Hybrid model. Purpose of the role We're looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to take ownership of key strategic technology supplier relationships within a complex, evolving environment. You'll act as the commercial link between Technology, Procurement and major suppliers, helping to ensure contracts deliver strong performance, value, governance and effective risk management. What you'll do Manage a portfolio of strategic technology suppliers and act as the key commercial point of contact. Build strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders, including Technology leaders and Procurement teams. Manage relationships with senior supplier contacts, including Account Directors and other key decision-makers. Monitor supplier performance against contractual commitments, SLAs and agreed service levels. Support supplier governance, risk meetings and senior management forums. Challenge suppliers where performance, service or commercial value is not meeting expectations. Identify opportunities to drive additional value, innovation and stronger commercial outcomes from supplier relationships. Work closely with Procurement on contract activity, renewals and commercial evaluations. Support demand shaping and help translate Technology requirements into clear commercial priorities. Maintain supplier account plans and support wider improvements across supplier management, governance and documentation. The Skills you'll need Strong experience in commercial contract management, supplier relationship management or strategic partner management. Proven experience managing major or material technology suppliers. Strong understanding of supplier governance, service performance, risk and commercial value. Confidence working with senior stakeholders internally and externally. Ability to challenge suppliers and manage difficult commercial conversations when required. Good understanding of contracts, SLAs, KPIs and supplier obligations. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify value and performance improvement opportunities. Experience working within a large or complex corporate environment. Technology supplier experience is highly desirable, particularly with major enterprise providers such as Microsoft, Azure, Oracle or similar. Financial services experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Comfortable working in a changing environment and able to quickly get up to speed with an existing supplier portfolio.
