IT Specialist Workload Automation Batch Scheduling (m/f/d) (IT Manager)

Our client is an internationally active company in the healthcare and logistics environment with complex IT landscapes and high requirements for availability and process reliability. The position is located within the central IT and digital environment and supports the stable operation of business-critical batch and scheduling processes in an international environment. The role combines system operation, automation, and process monitoring. The focus is on the implementation and support of workload automation processes as well as close cooperation with specialist departments, development, and infrastructure teams.

IT Specialist Workload Automation Batch Scheduling (m/f/d)

Tasks: Implementation and adaptation of batch processes in SAP, VSE, Unix, Windows, and OS400 within the scheduling environment Creation and maintenance of scripts, JCLs, and technical documentation Processing of Service Requests, Incidents, and tickets in the area of workload automation Monitoring of ongoing batch processes as well as analysis and resolution of job failures in 2nd-level support Coordination with specialist departments, developers, and system engineers for error analysis and process optimization Participation in national and international IT projects Ensuring stable and efficient scheduling and automation processes

Requirements: Completed training or studies in the IT environment, e.g., Fachinformatik or comparable qualification Good knowledge of at least one scripting or automation language in the Unix, mainframe, or Windows environment Experience in dealing with system environments and technical operating processes Ideally experience with scheduling or job control systems such as APX, UC4, Control-M, or TWS Analytical mindset as well as a structured and independent way of working Willingness to participate in on-call services or regular night shifts in a fixed rotation model Good English skills in speaking and writing, ideally German skills
