Design Engineer
What you'll be doing
- Assist and support the Business Development team in tender and proposal submissions.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare feasibility study reports
- Perform technical assessment such as Shading analysis, PVSyst simulation, consumption analysis and etc.
- Prepare tender documents for submission
- Prepare cost estimates for commercial proposals
- Assist and support the Project team in project execution.
- Prepare shopdrawing and design calculation report such as cable sizing and etc.
- Liaise with client regarding technical requirements
- Coordinate with consultants and authorities for design approvals
- Provide technical support and engineering advice to the project team
- Support the project team with technical advice for the installation team
- Review shop drawings and proposals from contractors or vendors and provide comments in accordance with authority requirements and local/international standards
- Evaluate the contractor’s performance in terms of design and installation as part of the quality control process
- Understand the technologies and products available in the renewable market and provide support to other teams
- Follow up on authority requirements and ensure solutions comply with it
- Support the company’s ISO management system by understanding requirements and providing the necessary documents
- Assist in the procurement process and provide technical input.
- Provide engineering support to other regional teams
- Liaise with new and existing vendors/suppliers to obtain pricelists and up-to-date product and service information with the procurement team
- Liaise with other teams to gather feedback on design and costing for continuous improvement
- Provide ad hoc engineering support to other regions within exploration
What we're looking for Minimum Diploma/Degree in Engineering field (Electrical engineering background would be an advantage)
At least 2 years of working experience in renewable industry
Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation and adept at applying requirements to design effectively
Familiar with Autocad, PVSyst and Sketchup
Quick learner, goal-oriented team player with strong communication and troubleshooting skills
