About the client The client is an international automotive company with research and development in Göteborg and operations in several locations. The network supports offices, production, and digital businesses, and connects their own data centers with AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud.

About Lynqa Lynqa is a Swedish consulting and recruitment partner within tech. We work with authorities, regions, and product companies, ranging from requirements specification and security in the public sector to development teams in the private sector.

Your tasks

Build, secure, and modernize a global corporate network with hybrid cloud, on-site in Göteborg.

The environment is continuously being modernized with lifecycle replacements, SD-WAN, security hardening, and automation. Now, the network function is being strengthened with a specialist who can take on broad and practical responsibility.

About the role You will work hands-on across the entire chain, from design and implementation to operations, incidents, and improvement work. You will collaborate closely with the security team, service partners, operators, and vendors.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, WLAN, and internet connections
• Manage firewalls, security policies, and network segmentation
• Build and manage site-to-site VPN, remote access, IPSec, and SSL VPN
• Support hybrid connectivity between owned environments and AWS, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud
• Troubleshoot incidents and performance issues with root cause analysis
• Drive lifecycle replacements, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
• Automate with scripts and infrastructure management tools
• Document topology, standards, and routines

Requirements

The role is suitable for you who thrive in a large multisite environment where business-critical connectivity must function around the clock, and where you yourself get to drive technology choices and improvements. The working language is English.

• At least three years of experience in network engineering or network operations in a corporate environment
• Hands-on routing and switching with Cisco, Fortinet, Huawei, or equivalent, including BGP and OSPF
• Experience with firewalls and VPN, for example FortiGate, Firepower, or ASA
• Experience with hybrid connectivity to AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud
• Professional English in speaking and writing
• You work on-site in Göteborg full-time

• CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent certification
• Network automation with Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Experience from the automotive industry, R&D, or other complex multisite environments
• Monitoring and performance tools for networks
• ITIL, disaster recovery, and high-availability design
• Chinese (Mandarin)

About the assignment Scope:
