Infrastructure / DevOps Support Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure / DevOps Support Engineer with strong expertise in environment management, release management, application deployment, Linux administration, and Oracle database support . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting application installations, deployments, non-production environments, and production readiness activities.

Experience in DevOps support, CI/CD automation, GitLab/GitHub, and Java application deployment will be advantageous. This role is for one of our project requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Manage application environments, including setup, configuration, maintenance, and deployment activities.
• Perform application installation, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting across various environments.
• Support release and change management activities and ensure adherence to deployment processes.
• Administer Linux systems, including configuration, monitoring, log analysis, troubleshooting, and performance support.
• Provide Oracle database support, including connectivity troubleshooting, monitoring, and deployment-related activities.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and resolve deployment and automation issues.
• Work with source control repositories such as GitLab and GitHub.
• Support Java application packaging, deployment, and related release activities.
• Investigate and resolve environment, configuration, deployment, and application issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and database teams.
• Participate in release planning, deployment validation, rollback activities, and post-deployment support.
• Maintain deployment documentation, operational procedures, and configuration records.
• Ensure compliance with incident, change, release, and problem management processes.

Required Experience

• Strong experience in Environment Management and Release Management.
• Hands-on experience in application deployment, installation, configuration, and support.
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills.
• Working knowledge of Oracle databases.
• Experience supporting non-production environments and resolving deployment-related issues.
• Understanding of Change Management and Release Management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with development, infrastructure, database, and DevOps teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in DevOps Support or DevOps Engineering environments.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automation.
• Experience with GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Exposure to Java application packaging and deployment.
• Experience with automated build and deployment processes.
• Shell scripting or automation scripting experience.
