Tax Compliance Accountant
Description
The Tax Compliance Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all tax returns submitted by the company. This position involves supporting the Chief Accountant in order to prepare all company tax returns accurately, in accordance with current legislation, and within the established deadlines.
Responsibilities include the analysis and reconciliation of financial records and tax invoices, as well as the preparation of necessary supporting documentation for each submitted tax return.
The Tax Compliance Accountant works closely with the Chief Accountant and the Deputy Chief Accountant to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of all tax returns.
Key Responsibilities and Key Performance Indicators
Tax Return Compliance and Accuracy
Prepare supporting calculations for monthly VAT (Value Added Tax) reports.
Prepare the quarterly Withholding Tax supporting Excel file.
Prepare supporting calculations and documentation for the Corporate Income Tax declaration.
Prepare supporting documentation regarding employees' taxable income and income tax arising from taxable benefits.
Prepare tax calculations related to royalty payments.
Review invoices submitted by suppliers in the electronic invoicing system, reconcile them with supporting documents, and prepare them for company approval.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations and communicate relevant information to the Finance Team.
Prepare presentations, guides, and brief reports to clarify changes in tax legislation and their impact on the company's operations and tax compliance obligations.
Accounting
Prepare accounting journal entries for transactions and accounts related to VAT.
Perform other accounting duties as required.
Financial Planning
Support the Finance Team in the process of preparing budgets and forecasts, with a particular focus on the in-depth analysis of cash flows related to taxes.
Reconcile actual cash flows with budgeted indicators and provide explanations for variances.
Identify and analyze the root causes of variances, including sales of finished goods, mining activities, purchases, and other significant business transactions.
Internal Control
Ensure that all processed accounting transactions comply with the company's internal control policies and applicable legal requirements.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of work experience in tax accounting, preferably in the mining industry.
Knowledge
Excellent knowledge of tax legislation and its practical application.
Skills
Excellent knowledge of tax legislation and its practical application.
Experience working with ERP systems and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
High teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher proficiency in English.
Good communication and effective collaboration skills with stakeholders.
High analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks within established deadlines.
