Assistant Researcher to the Urology Bladder Cancer Research Group

Description of the research group
The clinical urothelial cancer research group (bladder cancer, kidney pelvic cancer, and ureter cancer) works towards improved prognosis assessment using biomarkers and other methods for prediction and monitoring of treatment response. The group is led by professor and senior physician Fredrik Liedberg. More information about the research can be found here. Tasks and responsibilities
In the role of assistant researcher, you will perform laboratory work (cell culture in model systems) as well as bioinformatics analyses. Preparation of scientific articles and also submission of abstracts as well as participation in any scientific conferences. You may also be required to supervise students.
Qualifications
For the employment, the following are required:
- A doctoral degree.
- Extensive knowledge of molecular subtyping of bladder cancer.
- Documented experience of NGS analysis.
- Extensive experience of laboratory work with bladder cancer models.
- Documented knowledge of oral and written English.
- The tasks require that you have good collaborative skills, are solution-oriented, and have the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Consideration will also be given to how the applicant, through their experience and competence, is assessed to complement and strengthen ongoing research within the research groups and contribute to their future development.
