Operations Engineer | New CCGT Seraing
Pilot one of the most efficient power plants in Europe and actively contribute to Belgium's energy transition. As an Operations Engineer – New CCGT, you will play a key role in the commissioning and subsequent operation of the new combined cycle power plant in Seraing. You will guarantee safe, efficient, and optimized operations, while contributing to the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of an ultra-modern 870 MW facility.
What you will do You will participate in the testing, commissioning, and optimization of the various systems of the new power plant.
You will ensure the operation of the facilities in continuous service mode (shift) and ensure their safe and efficient functioning.
You will contribute to shutdown operations, lockout/tagout, and the preparation of equipment for maintenance.
You will analyze performance deviations, incidents, and risks in order to propose sustainable improvement solutions.
You will intervene in emergency situation management by applying the defined internal procedures and plans.
You will participate in the continuous improvement of operating procedures, operational reporting, and compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
What you bring You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a technical orientation (Civil Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or equivalent through experience).
You possess expertise in a technical field such as electricity, mechanics, automation, or a similar field.
You know how to analyze and supervise industrial processes using supervision tools, technical plans, and operational data.
You master the principles related to plant operation, intervention management, and equipment safety.
You demonstrate strong teamwork, adaptability, and composure in demanding environments or critical situations.
You are comfortable with IT tools and can communicate effectively in English.
