CARPENTER

Key responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches. Measure, calculate, cut, shape, and smooth materials such as lumber and fiberglass. Construct and install:Window frames and doorsStaircasesBuilding framesFlooring, roofing, and drywallCabinets, shelves, furniture, and other fixtures Inspect work sites and carry out repairs or maintenance. Build scaffolding and other temporary structures safely. Operate power and hand tools such as saws, hammers, and measuring tools. Ensure completed work meets design specifications and safety standards. Maintain the physical stamina required for demanding construction work. Work flexible or irregular hours, including nights, Sundays, and public holidays. Required qualifications Proven hands-on experience as a carpenter. Ability to accurately read technical drawings and construction documents. Strong practical knowledge of carpentry materials and techniques. Willingness to work irregular hours when required.
