Skilled Worker for Surface Coating (m/f/d) (Surface Coater)
We offer you the opportunity to work with one of the most exciting techniques in the world. As part of a motivated team, you will take on exciting tasks after a several-month induction period:
- Masking and covering engine components, e.g., by using heat-resistant tape or devices/covers made of sheet metal or silicone molds
- Operating and programming various robot-controlled (ABB) blasting and coating systems
- Aluminum oxide blasting of engine parts and aircraft parts as preparation for thermal spraying
- Applying various thermal spraying processes: APS = atmospheric plasma spraying / Flame = flame spraying / Arc-Wire = arc spraying / HVOF = high-velocity oxy-fuel spraying
- Monitoring the specified system parameters during the entire process
Your profile:
No experience in aviation? No problem, we will get you fit. To start your journey at Lufthansa Technik, you should meet the following requirements:
- (Soon to be) completed vocational training in a metalworking profession, e.g., KFZ-Mechaniker:in, KFZ-Mechatroniker:in, Fluggerätmechaniker:in, Anlagenmechaniker:in, Industriemechaniker:in, Feinwerkmechaniker:in, Klempner:in, Schlosser:in, Konstruktionsmechaniker:in, Werkzeugmechaniker:in, Metallbauer:in, etc.
- Basic knowledge of English
- Knowledge and experience in thermal spraying is desirable
- Knowledge and experience with robot controls is desirable
- Willingness to work in shifts (various shift models with allowances)
- Willingness for job-related further training
