Goals
The Head of Revenue Management APAC is responsible for planning, managing and developing various service functions, including Revenue Management, Flight Optimization and Special Prorate Agreement (SPA) Management, with a strong focus on achieving maximum profitability, productivity, and excellent quality.
Task
The Head of Global Revenue Management and Pricing’s tasks include the following:
General Tasks:
- Development and implementation of the Revenue Management business plan and the necessary concepts, methods, and standards
- Functional leadership, development and qualification of regional Revenue Managers (RM) and Flight Optimizers (FO)
- Optimization of communication between key interface departments (Sales, Handling, Commercial, Customer Service Team (CST) and worldwide Revenue Management teams)
- Management and improvement of commercial and operational Revenue Management processes in accordance with the process owner’s definition
- Provision of necessary database monitoring and analytics to optimize the team’s functions
- Management of activities within the virtual regional Revenue Management team and definition of work and process flows
- Manage multiple interfaces within the region (Sales, Handling, Commercial, CST, etc.) and with relevant HQ functions
- Management of change and effective transfer of knowledge
Specific Tasks:
Revenue Management (Commercial)
- Optimize short, medium and long-term revenues of all “to-hub” flights in line with company targets and network results beyond the hub
- Coordinate and monitor flight parameter settings to enable network revenue maximization and flight optimization
- Manage the Long-Term Contract (LTC) process to secure an adequate baseload on available flight capacities, as well as the ad hoc process to secure sufficient upsell opportunities
- Initiate and coordinate short-term network adjustments to better match supply and demand, considering the “belly first” principle
- Create attractive routing offers for customers in conjunction with Network Planning and the regional Commercial team
- Coordinate process changes with the global process owner as well as the relevant sales organization (BCTL)
- Conduct impact analyses of implemented process changes, including the management-oriented presentation of results
Flight Optimization (Operational)
- Optimize the utilization of available capacities through continuous flight optimization
- Provide high-quality responses to queue requests and the timely transfer of quality-checked flights to local load planning
- Ensure that a defined percentage of queues are processed within a predefined timeframe (SAL 06) to improve the speed of response to customers
Your profile
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; a Master’s degree is desirable
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the logistics or airline industry
- Good knowledge of the company’s processes and organization, with the ability to independently connect activities across the company’s global network
- Alternatively, good knowledge of comparable international airline or logistics industry structures
- Good knowledge of cargo pricing and Revenue Management (RM) principles and systems
- Experience in leading mid-sized, multicultural teams
- Strong industry knowledge and expert knowledge relevant to Revenue Management and cargo operations
- Willingness to travel as per business requirement
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of an Asian language or German is an advantage.
- Good computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
