The chairs of Ancient Church History and Patrology as well as Medieval and Modern Church History belonging to the Catholic Theological Faculty consider themselves excellent research and teaching units for the subject of Church History. The central coordination office for the two chairs is the joint secretariat.
We are looking for you:
Administrative Assistant at two chairs (m/f/d)
at the Munich location
These are your tasks:
You are the contact person for employees, students, guests, and university administrations at the chair's office.
Your tasks include diverse administrative and organizational activities on-site at the university to support the chair team:
- Processing personnel matters (hiring and extension documents)
- Processing budgetary matters, administration, and controlling of budgets and third-party funds
- Preparation and follow-up of business trips
- Support in internal and external university communication
- Support in the organization of study and examination matters, research seminars, guest lectures, and conferences
- Collaboration in the maintenance of the website
- Support in editorial activities, publication projects, and chair-related proofreading work
This is you:
We are looking for a committed personality who understands how to work precisely, in a structured manner, and independently, who enjoys contact with students and scientists, and who possesses the following profile:
- Completed vocational training, preferably in a commercial or administrative profession, or corresponding professional experience
- Very good IT skills (especially MS-Office including MS-Excel) and the willingness to learn the specific IT programs of the LMU
- Confident oral and written expression (also in English)
- Ability to work in a team, communication skills, sense of responsibility, independent working style, and reliability

The classification is according to TV-L, E8, twice 45%. This corresponds to a scope of two times 18 hours per week. It is intended to fill both positions with one person. The positions are permanent.
