Accounts Executive
Job Summary Accounts Executive will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts for both the Singapore(SG) and Malaysia (MY) entities. This role requires a strong understanding of both regional accounting standards, tax regimes (GST/SST), and statutory compliance to ensure accurate and integrated financial reporting across the group. Key Responsibilities
- Regional Full Set Accounting &Reporting
Manage the full set of accounts for both Singapore and Malaysia entities up to the trial balance and final financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate execution of month-end and year-end closing procedures for both jurisdictions. Prepare consolidated and entity-specific monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in compliance with both SFRS (Singapore) and MFRS (Malaysia). Handle multi-currency transactions and manage foreign exchange differences and inter-company reconciliations between the entities. Prepare management reports, highlighting key financial variances and performance indicators for both regions.
- Regional Compliance & Tax Management
Oversee and ensure accurate filing of statutory returns for Singapore (e.g., GST/Corporate Tax) and Malaysia (e.g., SST/Corporate Tax). Liaise with external tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory bodies (ACRA in SG, SSM in MY) to ensure all statutory requirements are met in a timely manner. Assist in the preparation of detailed audit schedules and serve as the main point of contact for external auditors for both Singaporean and Malaysian entities. Ensure internal controls and financial policies are applied consistently across both regional operations.
- Accounts Management (AP/AR/GL)
Handle the complete Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring vendor payments and expense claims for both SG and MY entities are processed according to local regulations and company policy.
Manage the Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and credit control for regional clients. Perform periodic bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance for all regional accounts. Requirements: · Experience: 3-5 years handlingthe Full Set of Accounts independently. · Regional Expertise: Mandatory experience managing the books for both Singapore (SG) and Malaysia (MY)entities. · Accounting Standards:Familiarity with both SFRS/IFRS and MFRS. · Tax Knowledge: Working knowledge of SG GST and MY SST rules and reporting. · Systems: Proficiency in Advanced Excel and relevant accounting software/ERP. · Skills: Highly meticulous,strong analytical skills, and able to manage multiple regional deadlines.
