Lucha Libre Taqueria & Barra Mexicana is a vibrant and energetic Mexican restaurant inspired by the flavors, street food, and culture of Mexico. We are passionate about delivering authentic food, great hospitality, and memorable experiences in a fast-paced and fun environment.

We are looking for a Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is hardworking, organized, and enjoys working in a busy kitchen. Availability during weekdays and weekends, including morning and evening shifts, is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and company standards
• Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping vegetables, and portioning ingredients
• Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, sauté stations, and convection ovens
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout the shift
• Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory procedures
• Label, date, and properly store food products
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

Requirements

• Experience working in a professional kitchen environment
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds
• FOODSAFE Level 1 certification is an asset
• Spanish speaking is considered an asset
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Experience

• Culinary school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset
• Previous experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, or similar role preferred
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure during busy service periods

Compensation

Starting at $20.00 per hour, plus tips.
