Head Chef LOW Five

Set the culinary course for our new restaurant Low Five in Utrecht!

Are you an experienced cook ready to set up a new business from the start? Do you have oversight, enjoy coaching a team, and find the dynamics of an open kitchen awesome? For our new restaurant Low Five in Utrecht, we are looking for a Head Chef who will take control of the kitchen.

Your role as Head Chef

As Head Chef, you are ultimately responsible for the daily operations in the kitchen. You lead the team and work closely with the Restaurant Manager and the advisor from Qeet to shape the menu and vision of Low Five.

• Operational leadership: You direct, coach, and motivate the kitchen team on the floor.
• Menu development: You determine the menu and devise new dishes that fit our concept.
• Purchasing & finance: You handle orders, maintain contact with suppliers, and monitor purchasing costs.
• Personnel management: You manage the daily planning, staffing, and conduct conversations with your team.
• Quality & interaction: You guarantee quality and HACCP regulations. Because we have an open kitchen, you are quick to respond to guests and approach them at the table for extra explanation if necessary.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a natural leader who is decisive, organizationally strong, and stress-resistant.

• Experience: You have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a Sous-chef or in a similar leadership role.
• Skills: You have strong culinary skills and basic knowledge of purchasing and kitchen finances.
• Mentality: You oversee the processes in a busy kitchen and can switch gears quickly.
• Language: You speak fluent English (fluent English is required) in connection with our international team and the guests.
