About the company
Portfolio Insights is a strategic transformation programme that will change how we report on projects, programmes and portfolios across the Change & Planning directorate and up to Executive level. The programme will deliver the systems and processes our teams need to get the right level of visibility and control across the portfolio, at every level of the organisation. Better quality, timely, accurate and consistent information will help us manage the portfolio proactively and make data-driven decisions. The work will equip teams with the right tools for effective delivery, strengthen our reporting capability and raise our governance standards.
Your tasks
About the Role We are looking for an experienced, business-focused Business Analyst to support the discovery and analysis phase of the programme. You will analyse our current state in depth and use it to define a future state operating model. You will turn business needs into clear, evidence-based recommendations that shape solution definition and inform decision making.
- Carry out a thorough analysis of current-state reporting, governance and portfolio management processes
- Define the future state operating model, working with stakeholders to make sure it meets business needs
- Elicit, document and prioritise requirements
- Turn business needs into clear, evidence-based recommendations that support solution definition and decisions
- Contribute to business readiness activity, so teams are prepared for the change
- Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, up to Executive level
Requirements
- Strong business analysis experience, including business process analysis, requirements definition and business readiness
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Valid Security Check (SC) clearance
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
- Experience supporting the implementation of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solutions
You are comfortable working with ambiguity and getting to the root of how things work today. You communicate clearly, and you can build trust and influence across a wide range of stakeholders.
