Long Chain Construction Chemicals Ltd. (LCC) is a growing company specializing in paints, coatings, construction materials and construction chemicals.
We are looking for a responsible, disciplined and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to support the company's manufacturing operations by ensuring that raw materials, production processes and finished products consistently meet established quality standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Production, Technical and Quality teams to identify quality deviations, document findings and support timely corrective action.
JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for conducting raw-material, in-process and finished-product inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
The role requires a hands-on individual who can carry out sampling and inspection activities,
accurately record results, identify non-conforming materials or products and promptly escalate quality issues.
The successful candidate should have practical experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within paints, coatings, building materials, mortars, tile adhesives, waterproofing products or construction chemicals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Raw Material Quality Inspection
- Inspect incoming raw materials against established quality specifications.
- Conduct sampling of raw materials according to approved procedures.
- Check material condition, identification, packaging and relevant quality parameters.
- Verify that materials meet required specifications before use in production.
- Identify and report materials that do not meet the required standards.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming-material inspections.
- In-Process Quality Control
- Conduct quality inspections at different stages of the production process.
- Monitor production parameters and product characteristics against established specifications.
- Carry out sampling and testing as required.
- Identify deviations during production and promptly notify the relevant teams.
- Work closely with Production personnel to address quality issues before they affect finished products.
- Support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Finished Product Inspection
- Inspect finished products before release for sale or dispatch.
- Check relevant quality parameters, including:
- Colour and appearance
- Viscosity
- Fineness
- Weight
- Packaging condition
- Product consistency
- Other applicable product specifications
- Compare finished products against approved standards and specifications.
- Identify and document products that do not meet the required quality standards.
- Support the release or hold of products based on inspection results.
- Non-Conformance & Quality Issues
- Identify and document non-conforming raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products.
- Promptly report quality deviations to the relevant supervisor or technical team.
- Support investigations into the causes of quality problems.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor affected batches or materials until the quality issue has been resolved.
- Ensure non-conforming products are properly identified and controlled.
- Quality Records & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date QC inspection records.
- Record sampling, testing and inspection results.
- Maintain records of rejected, held and approved materials or products.
- Prepare basic quality reports as required.
- Ensure quality documentation is properly completed and filed.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Production and Technical teams to resolve quality issues.
- Communicate quality concerns promptly and clearly.
- Support production teams in maintaining consistent product quality.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Follow company quality, safety and operational procedures.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or relevant qualification in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, Quality Control, Production, Manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in paints, coatings, building materials, mortars, tile adhesives, waterproofing products or construction chemicals is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of raw-material, in-process and finished-product inspection.
- Practical ability to conduct sampling, inspection, recording and quality evaluation.
- Ability to identify quality deviations and report them promptly.
- Basic laboratory testing skills are an advantage.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Responsible, disciplined and quality-conscious.
- Ability to work effectively with Production and Technical teams.
- Ability to work under production timelines while maintaining quality standards.
