Look at what this opportunity will develop on a daily basis: This professional will be responsible for leading studies and projects related to operational capacity, logistics network, productivity, costs, and continuous improvement, contributing to the evolution of product distribution for retail and the strengthening of the company's logistics efficiency.
Responsibilities and duties
- Lead strategic transport projects, focusing on operational excellence, productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction;
- Responsible for transport capacity planning, performing demand studies, anticipating risks and constraints, and proposing solutions for high-demand periods;
- Develop analyses, simulations, and business cases to support decisions related to the expansion, resizing, or restructuring of the logistics network and investments;
- Conduct improvement and digital transformation projects in Transport, including autonomous delivery initiatives, routing review, and sustainability;
- Evaluate opportunities for route optimization, vehicle occupancy, cargo consolidation, and utilization of logistics resources;
- Prepare cost studies and identify opportunities for expense reduction and profitability improvement;
- Conduct operational performance analyses through indicators and management dashboards, proposing actions for results evolution;
- Map processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives using structured methodologies;
- Act in multidisciplinary projects conducted by other areas, including initiatives related to Transit Points and TMS;
- Act in conjunction with areas such as Planning, PCP, Projects, Operations, Commercial, Purchasing, and Finance;
- Participate in complex negotiations with carriers and strategic suppliers;
- Act with a focus on delivery quality, service level evolution, lead time reduction, and costs;
- Present analyses, recommendations, and business cases to leadership and executive forums;
- Act as a technical specialist, supporting critical decisions and contributing to the development of the team.
Requirements and qualifications
Mandatory requirements:
- Completed higher education, preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Administration, or related fields;
- Experience with logistics capacity management and transport planning;
- Knowledge in process mapping and improvement, PDCA, and root cause analysis;
- Advanced Excel, Power BI, and Artificial Intelligence;
- Knowledge in TMS (Transportation Management System) and WMS;
Desirable requirements:
- Knowledge of routing and geolocation tools;
- Knowledge of SQL and data modeling and analysis tools;
- Knowledge of Transport Legislation.
