LOGOS Virtual Assistants is a boutique staffing agency in the United States with a specialization working with law firms across various practice areas. We are looking for candidates who have interest in working with US clients in a legal environment, working from home, with a chance to develop your English skills working on a long-term contract basis.
Job Description – Legal Assistant, working with a client in the Immigration & Personal Injury practice legal area.
- Assist in the areas of pre-litigation as a Case Manager or Legal Assistant to the Paralegal, depending on the final assessment of your capability.
- Handle intake of incoming new client calls and qualify the callers and their case and input into the case system for analysis on qualification.
- Send Letters of Retainer (LORs) to sign the client when authorized. Manage the communication process on new contracts.
- Data Entry: Take detailed notes of why new or existing clients are calling and understand their case situations through detailed review of their case notes.
- Work on a portfolio of cases, either directly with the Case Manager or to the Paralegal. The goal as a Legal Assistant is to navigate client communication on the portfolio of cases across the entire life cycle of the case and assist with all administrative work in relation to that workflow.
- Work on Property Damages: Call Insurance companies to open claims, Police departments to obtain photo evidence, and gather all relevant information to document in the case.
- Call hospitals and medical providers to obtain medical records, bills, assist to schedule clients with medical appointments and also follow up on their treatment status. Taking detailed notes as all is part of the evidence journey of the case.
- Notes taken in Customer Management Software tools, and the detail and quality of the notes you input have a direct impact on the efficiency provided by the legal department to its clients.
- A critical position for gaining exposure to a US legal setting, fully integrated into the operations of the law firm.
Work Structure and Hours
- Full-Time Hours 40-45hrs per week.
- Monday-Friday, 9AM-6PM PDT / 10AM-7PM CT / 11AM-8PM CT timeframes available
- Weekends OFF
- The longer you are on the project, the more you earn the economic benefit of your long-term reliability and commitment.
- Two increases in the first six months, with another guaranteed increase at the end of first year. 20%+ in scheduled increases by the end of year #1.
Desired Requirements
- Must Have: Great English level skills: Minimum high-level B2, or C1-C2 is very strong on English standard classification.
- Ideal: Prior Legal experience with a US law firm is a major plus but not fully required. Any BPO experience for 2-3 years of Call Center customer service or tech support experience with a US account or campaign.
- Willing to accept candidates of any background, but must have a willingness, energy, and motivation to speak with clients on the phone and be available for incoming calls on a daily basis. Have strong attention to detail and be professionally presentable to a legal setting.
- Excellent English listening skills. Very important to have listening skills and be able to capture specific details and nuances related to diverse client or case scenarios.
- Detailed and extensive writing skills. Able to write comprehensive notes in English and be proactive with internal communication, situational explanations, and collaborative posture.
- Able to commit exclusively to this project and have it as a long-term proposition. We are looking for someone long-term and not someone interested in a short-term experience.
- We request that you not have any University classes. Must be fully done with school, as we cannot adjust schedule.
- Have a home office space with quiet environment, good quality internet connectivity, and good quality audio headsets.
Process Guidance
- If you qualify, wait for an email from the agency Recruitment Manager or CEO with an introduction and next steps to schedule an interview.
- We will schedule a one-hour video interview with you to determine if you’re a good profile fit for our client.
- English Test will be issued after interview. Short 2–3-minute video presentation required. We will provide guidance and the platform to do this.
- If and when selected, an offer will be made and a start-date outlined.
- Anticipated start-date will be late August or by September 15th, 2026. This can move quickly, or take time until the right person is sourced.
