Bringing in a Head of Event Rigging is a central part of making that happen.

Your tasks

• Own and shape a rigging department from the ground up

The Head of Event Rigging is a new position, created because the business is ready to put proper leadership at the top of a department that is growing alongside the wider company, with a clear mandate to bring LOLER testing in-house and build the team and processes around it.

• Lead the preparation, dispatch and return of all rigging equipment

• Coordinate statutory inspections, certifications and compliance records

• Manage daily workflow, timesheets, safety briefings and team performance

• Recruit, train and develop permanent, freelance and casual team members

• Quarantine and report damaged or non-compliant equipment promptly

• Maintain accurate asset movement records across all hires

• Collaborate with warehouse and project teams to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

The Candidate The right Head of Event Rigging will bring solid, hands-on experience in rigging, trussing, lifting or technical event production, paired with a strong working knowledge of LOLER and lifting regulations. You will have led a team in a warehouse or technical environment and be confident owning inventory management, compliance documentation and day-to-day workflow.

Relevant rigging or lifting certifications, experience coordinating external inspections, or forklift certification would all be beneficial but are not essential. If your background sits in a closely related technical discipline and you can demonstrate the LOLER knowledge and team leadership this role demands, this Head of Event Rigging opportunity is still worth a conversation.
