Full-time office-based
Multi-city festival portfolio scaling from five-thousand to twenty-thousand-plus capacity, a live music group expanding faster than most, and an Event Director. Festivals position with full strategic ownership from day one. First hire to make, equity on the table, a programme already in motion.
- EMI share option scheme with planned exit horizon
- Strategic ownership of the full and growing festival portfolio
- Build the events team yourself, from first hire
- Rapid scale from 5,000 to 15,000-plus capacity events
- Salary range to £90,000 reflecting the seniority of the role
The Company
This is an independent, founder-led live music and hospitality group that has grown quickly since launching the concept and is now scaling its events operation to match its venue ambitions. The culture is collaborative and high-energy, with founders who are deeply invested in music quality and authenticity. People join because the opportunity is real, the pace is genuine and the decisions get made.
The Role
As Event Director - Festivals, you will take full strategic and operational ownership of a festival portfolio that is already delivering events at thousands-strong capacity and has clear, funded ambitions to reach 15,000 to 20,000-plus attendees across multiple UK cities.
- Shape the overall events strategy alongside the senior leadership team
- Lead end-to-end delivery of outdoor festivals from feasibility through post-event review
- Own significant event budgets, forecasting and financial reporting
- Manage external promoters, suppliers and council and stakeholder relationships
- Oversee health and safety, logistics and operational delivery across the portfolio
- Work closely with internal music, marketing, creative, commercial and production teams
- Build and lead the events team as the portfolio expands
The Candidate
The right person for this Event Director - Festivals role has built their career in festival and large-scale outdoor events delivery, not corporate or conference, and has the scars and the successes to show for it. You have led teams, managed the full supplier and promoter ecosystem and are equally comfortable in a planning meeting and on-site at 6am.
Experience across multi-city festival expansion, music or live entertainment environments, budget ownership and commercial event strategy, or council and stakeholder liaison would all be beneficial, though not essential to be considered for this Event Director - Festivals position. What matters most is the appetite to build something, the credibility to lead it and the commitment that evenings and weekends are part of the job.
In return you will get genuine strategic influence, a competitive salary to £90,000, an EMI share option scheme and the chance to shape a festival programme that is already growing fast. This Event Director - Festivals role is live now with real urgency behind it, so if it fits where you want to take your career, get in touch.
