Creative Producer

Live RecruitmentAlfretonreedpublished 09/30/2026

On-site and away-from-base; overnight and weekend work required

Brand activations, retail pop-ups and exhibition builds from first sketch to live site, and a workshop sitting on-site so design and build share the same floor. An Event Production Designer role with full creative ownership across the whole process, and an agency growing fast enough to make the right hire count.

  • Creative ownership from design brief to live site
  • Production-scale brand activation work on your portfolio
  • On-site workshop, so design and build happen in the same place
  • Collaborative team where ideas move fast
  • Genuine progression as the business grows

The Company

A mid-size production agency specialising in brand activations, exhibitions and pop-ups for retail, alcohol and tech clients. The workshop sits on-site alongside the wider team, which means an Event Production Designer here rarely loses momentum between design and build. The culture is genuinely collaborative, people are involved across the full process, and the agency is at a point of growth where the right hire makes a real difference.

The Role

The Event Production Designer sits at the heart of the creative build process, translating briefs into detailed designs and seeing them through pre-production and onto site, working alongside project managers, the workshop team and external suppliers to deliver every build on time and on budget.

  • Produce hand sketches, 2D and 3D CAD layouts, construction drawings and renders
  • Oversee creative builds from workshop through to onsite completion
  • Liaise closely with project managers, clients and suppliers throughout
  • Drive build quality, accuracy and attention to detail at every stage
  • Identify and flag workload or production issues early
  • Support marketing by flagging projects suitable for promotion
  • Drive vans to site as required; full clean driving licence needed

The Candidate

The right Event Production Designer will have solid experience across CAD, 2D and 3D visualisation and hand sketching, and will have managed creative builds and production processes from pre-production through to live delivery. You communicate clearly with project managers, clients and suppliers, and you work with the kind of independence and attention to detail that keeps complex builds on track without constant oversight.

A background in scenic work or set construction is beneficial but not essential, as is experience specifically in brand activations or exhibition production. Familiarity with workshop and manufacturing coordination is also a plus. Any Event Production Designer who can bring that broader context will hit the ground running, but what matters most is the drive to own the creative process and the professionalism to deliver under pressure.

Creative ownership, a workshop on your doorstep and a package reaching £45,000 add up to a strong offer. Scheduling for initial conversations is already under way, so send your application across now before this one is gone.
