The Role
The Senior Event Technician - Photo Capture & AV is the hands-on technical lead across both the warehouse operation and on-site delivery, with the bulk of the role centred on equipment preparation, procurement and booth logistics, balanced with client-facing installs and live event work.
- Lead warehouse operations: equipment prep, booth logistics and procurement
- Set up and operate photo booths, AV, lighting and speaker systems on-site
- Support and oversee robot-arm and motion-capture technology installations
- Manage and lead technicians on-site, setting the standard for delivery
- Liaise directly with clients throughout build and event phases
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly under live conditions
- Handle admin tasks including kit tracking and scheduling support
The Candidate
The right fit for this Senior Event Technician - Photo Capture & AV role will have solid hands-on experience across photo booths, AV, lighting and speakers, built through a background in client-facing event technical work or AV installation. You will be comfortable running kit from warehouse to site and confident leading a small team when it counts.
Strong problem-solving instincts and a degree of administrative capability matter here as much as the technical breadth. Backgrounds in live events, installation or venue-based technical roles are all relevant, and if you have touched motion-capture or robot-arm technology, that is beneficial but not essential.
Salary for the Senior Event Technician - Photo Capture & AV sits between £40,000 and £45,000, with a TOIL system, real room to grow and hours that genuinely stand out in technical events.
