About the job
We are looking for a research engineer whose duties will consist of writing one or more scientific articles within the field of defects in semiconductors and spin dynamics simulations. The articles will be based on a completed thesis that is available, but the duties may also include minor expansions such as additional simulations and method development.
About you
We are looking for you who are in the latter part of, or have recently completed, a university education in physics, engineering physics, engineering mathematics, or equivalent. The application must demonstrate experience from an already presented master's thesis, or other project work of comparable scope in the subject of spin dynamics simulations for defects in semiconductors. The position is not intended for those with significantly longer experience, e.g., with a completed doctoral degree. A transcript of records must be attached to the application. Good knowledge of English in both speech and writing is required. You must be able to work independently and be a contributing member of the research group.
Your workplace
You will work at the Materialdesign och informatik unit at the Teoretisk fysik department, located at the Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi (IFM). At the Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi, IFM, and the Teoretisk fysik department, a number of research projects are conducted. In one of these projects, a database system is being developed with a web-based user interface for analysis and searching in large amounts of research data from computer simulations of defects in materials.

About the employment
Fixed-term employment 100% for 1-3 months (alternatively 50% for 2-6 months).
Start date according to agreement.
