Your duties
Our research projects focus on distributed sensing, hardware-efficient signal processing, robust wireless communication, and communication-efficient decentralized machine learning. The applications are within 6G mobile systems, distributed AI and distributed computing, as well as drone swarms.
As a PhD student, you will devote yourself to your doctoral education and the research project you are part of. Your work may also include teaching or participating in other departmental duties, up to 20 percent of full-time.
Your qualifications
You have completed a degree at an advanced level in Elektroteknik, Datateknik or Tillämpad Matematik, or completed courses of at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits are at an advanced level in the aforementioned subjects. Alternatively, you have otherwise acquired substantially equivalent knowledge. The requirement for the degree must be met at the time the employment contract is signed.
Applicants must demonstrate very good mathematical maturity, have very good skills in programming, and have a very good ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Furthermore, you should have the ability to work independently, be goal-oriented, and have problem-solving skills. You should also be clear in your communication and have the ability to cooperate with others.

About the employment

The employment is time-limited to normally four years full-time. Extension of employment up to five years occurs based on the degree of teaching and departmental duties. For special reasons, further extension may occur. You are initially employed for one year, and thereafter the employment is renewed for a maximum of two years at a time, based on the achieved study plan.
