Do you want to work with communication, outreach activities, and events related to Swedish development research? We intend to hire a student teaching assistant to work with the secretariat for Swedish Development Research Network (SweDev).

About the job

SweDev was founded in 2019 and is a network that connects development researchers throughout Sweden, with the aim of strengthening cooperation within the research community and increasing interaction between researchers and practitioners.

Tasks for a student teaching assistant may include teaching, administration, or participation in research or artistic research. For this position, the tasks will primarily involve assisting SweDev's secretariat with maintaining the network's website, communicating within and outside the network, participating in arranging and disseminating information about events, monitoring relevant events and new research findings, as well as participating in the recurring meetings for SweDev's executive board and steering committee.

About you

To be eligible for employment as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to higher education at undergraduate or advanced level.

We are looking for you who is communicative, independent, and structured, who has good collaborative skills and an interest in working with digital communication.

We want you to have:

experience in development studies, environmental science, or political science (bachelor's degree or ongoing master's studies) knowledge of Swedish development cooperation and development research good knowledge of English, both oral and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

experience managing social media and/or a website for an organization, or similar experience previous experience working within the development sector, in Sweden or abroad interest in development research and SweDev's work.

From autumn 2026, SweDev's secretariat will be located at https://liu.se/organisation/liu/tema – Miljöförändring and Centrum för klimatpolitisk forskning (CSPR) at Linköpings universitet.

About the employment

The employment is fixed-term with a scope of 20 percent of full-time for up to one year.

Start date: By agreement.

Employment as a teaching assistant is regulated in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
