Accountant

They will be responsible for managing, supervising, and controlling the company's accounting, financial, and tax processes, ensuring compliance with current regulations in Panamá, the integrity of financial information, and the correct execution of accounting operations.

Main responsibilities

• Supervise and validate the company's accounting records.
• Coordinate and execute monthly and annual accounting closings.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax and fiscal obligations in Panamá.
• Perform and supervise bank reconciliations.
• Manage and control accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Control cash flow and prepare financial projections.
• Prepare and organize the documentation required for internal and external audits.
• Implement and strengthen internal controls and good financial practices.
• Manage relationships with banking entities and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities in accounting and financial processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Specialization or diploma in Finance, Taxation, or NIIF, desirable.

Experience

• Previous experience in accounting positions with responsibility over integral processes.
• Experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Experience executing monthly and annual accounting closings.
• Management of bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Experience using ERP systems or accounting software.
• Knowledge and practical experience with Sage 50, an important requirement for the position.

Technical knowledge

• Knowledge of current accounting and tax regulations in Panamá.
• Management of NIIF/IFRS.
• Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of the regulations of the Junta Técnica de Contabilidad de Panamá, desirable.
• Management of accounting systems and financial management tools.

Modality and conditions

• Location: PH Oceanía Business Plaza, Panamá, provincia de Panamá.
• Modality: hybrid, with in-person attendance two to three days per week.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 18:00, with one and a half hours for lunch.
