Senior Automation Fullstack Developer

Your tasks

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer who takes end-to-end ownership of features—from initial architecture and implementation to production monitoring. In this role, you will build and scale Next.js frontends, Python REST APIs, and event-driven background workers hosted on GCP. Additionally, you will act as a quality advocate by setting automation standards (testing, orchestration, CI/CD) across the engineering team.

• Feature Ownership: Own the complete delivery lifecycle of core product features across Next.js, Python APIs, async workers, and GCP infrastructure.
• Automation & Quality Standards: Define and enforce automated testing strategies (Playwright, pytest) and job/workflow orchestration standards for the team.
• Event-Driven Architecture: Design and operate resilient background processing workers utilizing Pub/Sub, async queues, retry policies, and dead-letter failure handling.
• Enterprise Integrations: Connect applications with internal systems and third-party enterprise services via REST APIs, SSO/OAuth, and secure network boundaries.
• Data & Infrastructure: Design PostgreSQL schemas, manage database migrations, operate object storage (GCS/S3), and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitHub Actions).
• Observability & Reliability: Set up logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting to ensure reliable production delivery of distributed cloud services.

Requirements

⚠️ Please note: All listed requirements below are strictly mandatory for this position.

• Fullstack Mastery:5+ years of commercial fullstack experience with strong Python and solid TypeScript / React / Next.js skills.
• Automation & Testing: Proven track record in workflow/job orchestration and automated end-to-end/unit testing using Playwright and pytest.
• Event-Driven Systems: Hands-on experience with messaging queues (GCP Pub/Sub or similar), asynchronous workers, retry mechanisms, and failure handling patterns.
• Enterprise Integrations: Deep understanding of REST API design, SSO / OAuth authentication, and secure network perimeters.
• Data Management: Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL schema design & migrations) and object storage (GCS / S3).
• Observability & DevOps: Practical experience with distributed observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) alongside working knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and IaC (Terraform).
• Mindset & Soft Skills: End-to-end accountability (ownership mindset), excellent problem-solving ability, and clear communication with cross-functional teams (engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders).
