Tendering Estimation Engineer
converts architectural drawings and specifications into precise bill of quantities (BOQ), cost models, and competitive tender submissions. Quantity Take-Off (QTO): Measuring architectural components (finishes, cladding, joinery, glazing, masonry, structural wood/steel elements) from BIM models, CAD drawings, and specifications.
Tender Preparation & Management: Compiling technical and financial bid proposals, managing Request for Information (RFI) logs, evaluating subcontractor quotations, and finalizing tender submissions.
Contract & Scope Verification: Reviewing conditions of contract (e.g., FIDIC, JCT, NEC) and scope documents to identify commercial risks, gaps, and missing architectural details before bid submission
- Education & Professional Background
Bachelor’s Degree: Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying (QS), or Construction Management.
Experience Level: Mid-Level: 5 years in architectural estimation, quantity takeoff, or tendering within main contractors, architectural consultancies, or cost management firms.
